Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how [Sole Proprietor name] (“we”, “us”), the provider of Umbra View, handles your information when you use our website umbralink.app (the “Site”) and the Umbra View application (the “Software”).

1. Privacy by design

Umbra View is a desktop application. Your asset library and index are stored locally on your computer in a local database. We do not collect, upload or have access to the contents of your projects.

2. Information we process

  • Purchase data: when you buy a license, the transaction is handled by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Ltd.. They process your payment and billing details under their own privacy policy and share with us only the information needed to deliver and manage your license (such as your email and license status).
  • License activation: to enforce the per-device limit, the Software may send a machine identifier and your license key to our licensing service when activating or validating a license.
  • Contact requests: if you email us or use the contact form, we receive the details you provide (such as your name, email and message) to respond to you.
  • Software updates: the Software checks for updates by requesting an update manifest. These requests may include standard technical data such as your IP address and app version.

3. How we use information

  • to deliver, activate and manage your license;
  • to provide customer support;
  • to deliver software updates;
  • to comply with legal obligations.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the product — primarily our Merchant of Record (Paddle.com Market Ltd.) for payments, and our hosting and infrastructure providers.

5. Data retention

We retain license and purchase records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, accounting and tax requirements.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@umbralink.app.

7. Children

The Software is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.

9. Contact

For any privacy questions, email support@umbralink.app.
